Allosaurus was a large bipedal predator. Its enormous skull came equipped with dozens of sharp, serrated teeth. It averaged 8.5 m (28 ft) in length, though fragmentary remains suggest it could have reached over 12 m (39 feet).
It is classified as an allosaurid, a type of carnosaurian theropod dinosaur. Presented here is our seven-inch-long, Allosaurus replica claw.
An Allosaurus had three claws and three toes. Relative to its large and powerful hind limbs, its three-fingered forelimbs were small.
Allosaurus was at the top of the food chain, probably preying on contemporaneous large herbivorous dinosaurs, and perhaps even other predators.
The name Allosaurus means “different lizard”. It stood sixteen feet tall; three feet taller than the average elephant.
Don't worry about this replica lasting: it's made of super-strong Smooth-On resin for durability. It can be handled with no concern.
